Our Christmas Story

Our Christmas story doesn't involve anyone getting their eye shot out but it does involve a lot of new things that caused a lot of arguing over who's things were who's. On Christmas Eve each of us opened 1 present, which was jammies of course. It was our first Christmas Eve and Christmas morning spent at our own house. It was nice to be with just our little family of 4.

Christmas morning was very exciting. Paityn is at the age where it makes a little bit more sense. Santa (grandpa) made a few phonecalls to Paityn this year to make sure she was keeping her panties dry. If she didn't keep them dry....well, no presents. AND IT WORKED!!!!!
Paityn got her new kitchen, tons of coloring things, a rocking chair and much more. Andee got a whole bunch of baby accessories to go with the baby(ies) she carries around 24/7. She also got a little rocking chair and tons of other stuff.
We spent the rest of the week in Manti with family. We even got to go out to the pond at the farm and ice skate and play in the snow. We had a good time.

Boyfriends, Boyfriends

It seems as though Paityn had a special Darth Vader friend too! What is it with Darth Vader and bobbysockers. Opposites attract!?
The masked man is Forbes Reynolds. What a cute couple:)

HALLOWEEN!

For Halloween we, the girls (Dave was a stinker and wouldn't dress up with us), were 50's girls, or bobbysockers, I guess is what they're called. My mom made our skirts for us and I added the poodles and embelishments. Paityn and Andee looked so cute in their tennis shoes and ponytails. Wouldn't it have been cute if Dave dressed up as a "greaser"? No luck. I had the girls with me at school for parts of the day and then they went on the parade with me at school. They got lots of oohs and aahs. We went trick or treating later that night and Paityn kept asking at door, "Am I cute?" A little vain? But yes, they were both so stinkin' cute! Andee actually got to where she could say, "trick or treat" and "Happy Halloween". She's a little talker.

Paityn was asked at a restaurant what she was going to be for Halloween and she replied, "a 50's girlla (she can't say girl) at which the waitress replied, "a gorilla?" Paityn got very annoyed and said, "No, a 50's girrrrrrla". We'll have to work on that.

Andee found a cute little "Darth Tater" on her adventures at the Halloween carnival. It was very cute to see Andee and Tate Cannon walking down the hall hand in hand.

Pumpkin Patch

A few weeks ago we took the girls to Pumpkinland in Orem. They couldn't believe their eyes when they walked in and saw all the pumpkins. We started out by going through the cornmaze with Paityn in the lead (needless to say, it took forever). They also saw a lot of small animals like chickens, rabbits and pheasants. They even got to touch the rabbit's nose. They played on the playground and had a blast. It was such a nice day as far as the weather goes and we just had fun being together.
Andee checking out the ducks. Quack, quack.

The blurriness is due to the fact that Andee NEVER sits still for a picture!

Here's the blind leading the blind. Paityn liked to believe she was going in the right directions but we oftentimes found ourselves in the same places.

Getting Ready for the Holiday Season

Well, I think it has begun! Halloween is soon approaching, then it will be Thanksgiving soon after that and before we know it, it will be Christmas. Yes, Christmas!
I knew it would be hard for me to keep this blog updated and besides that, our camera broke! So we resorted to our cell phones and will somehow try to get those downloaded.
We went to Pumpkinland a few days ago where Paityn and Andee loved wandering through the corn maze, seeing all of the animals and playing on all of the fun Halloween playthings. They couldn't believe all the pumpkins and corn! It was a beautfiul day and fun to be together as a family. I hope to get pictures posted soon!

Warm Fall/Summer Day

So it's almost fall time and our warm days just seem to be disappearing so Paityn and Andee decided to take advantage of one of the last remaining warm days. I never know how to dress them because it is so cold in the mornings and evenings but hot during the day. Needless to say, I change their clothes about halfway through the day.

We're trying to get Paityn interested in taking her training wheels off of her bike but she wants nothing to do with that. I think she likes the safety net. Andee just wants to do everything that Paityn is doing and when she can't do something she throws a major fit. Sometimes they can be so cute with eachother and other times they are at eachother's throats. We're hoping it's just that "sister thing" and that they'll grow up to be best friends. Wishful thinking?
