October

Just a few happenings in October. First of all, one day I walked in the front door of the house only to find two things that I wasn't expecting, greeting me in the house. The first was this stuffed turkey. Paityn was a little startled at it as well. Dave shot this a few months ago and had it stuffed. I think it will go nicely in the garage next to the elk head that should be coming soon!

The second was that my downstairs bathroom was in the beginning stages of a much needed make-over. This also startled Paityn but she became really excited after she understood what it meant. Check out the black moldy wood we found at the base of the shower. Ya, that's fun!

One weekend while at my mom's house, Andee suddenly disappeared into a back bedroom. I thought she was just playing in her Cinderella dress but my mom thought it wise to go check on her anyway. This is what she found.....Andee hiding in the closet......ASLEEP! I guess when you're tired, you're tired.

And October wouldn't be October without all of the Halloween activities. Dave and I have carved pumpkins every year since we were dating. The tradition continues. Even Paityn has gotten to where she can use those little carving tools and kind of carve her own, simple face. Andee on the other hand wanted nothing to do with the slimy guts on the inside. She wouldn't even touch a pumpkin.

Halloween day was very long but the girls had a lot of fun! They both had Halloween shirts to wear and both wore their hair up with their costumes. They really looked like sisters. And get use to Andee's sideways-head pose. That's what she thinks you do when someone says "cheese".

I took Andee to school with me all day and she couldn't have been happier. She loved entertaining the kids and doing a few "1st grade" things.

For some reason, Paityn really wanted to be a vampire and we figured Andee would want to be Cinderella because she wears her ratty old Cinderella dress-up every day, all day. I got a cute shot of Andee with "Tater Buzz". They walked around the school carnival together. Just as cute as could be!

After school we hurried down to Manti so we could do trick-or-treating with cousins. Manti does trunk or treet on Main Street where they close down a few blocks of Main Street and then you can walk from trunk to trunk and from store to store. It was pretty neat! We loved that Halloween was on a Friday and that we were able to go down and be with family and cousins for Halloween.

This is one of my favorite things Andee does. Well, sometimes. Sometimes it just really frustrates me. If something doesn't go her way she'll cross her arms, put her eyebrows down, lip out and then she won't do anything but sit or stand there. I just laugh at her.
Spirit week was a few weeks ago and we had forgotten to dress up on a few of the days but we didn't forget about crazy hair day. This was our quick and easy crazy hair. She thought it was pretty funny.

How funny that Paityn wanted to be a vampire! And Andee looks so cute in her Cinderella dress. I'm going to try and get Sammie to be Tinkerbell next year because she's so little with blonde hair. Halloween is so fun. Now you just need a pic of your girls in pilgrim costumes around that stuffed turkey!

That is so funny that you found Andee in the closet asleep, kids can sleep anywhere!

Seriously, Andy was the cutest Cinderella I've ever seen. I think that she should marry Sitani. I love how Paityn fell asleep in the closet, too. She is so animated and fun to watch at school. CAn't wait to see how cute this next one comes out. By the way, did you keep the turkey for a centerpiece or something?
